OPEN: First International Meeting and accessible excursion

OPEN – Open air, open sport for everyone
First International Meeting and accessible excursion

From 18 to 20 March, the first International Meeting of the “OPEN – Open air, open sport for everyone” project will be held in Recoaro Terme – Vicenza – Italy.
The project aims to bring even the most fragile and disabled people closer to outdoor sports and to raise awareness among all citizens of the beneficial effects of outdoor sports.
30 people selected by the partners from Poland, Montenegro, Portugal and United Kingdom will participate at the meeting, with the Italian participant from the Italian partner Le Guide

On Saturday 19 March the project includes an accessible and free excursio conducted, in English, by Le Guide Piccole Dolomiti on easy paths on the mountains of Campogrosso

The appointment is at 9.30 at the Hotel Trettenero in Recoaro Terme. Here, after a brief presentation of the project, we will leave towards the starting point for the excursion. The excursion will also be accessible to people with reduced mobility.

During the day it will be possible to experience JOELETTE, an off-road wheelchair that makes rough paths accessible even to people with reduced mobility, accompanied by trained people. At 13.00, for those who wish it will be possible to have lunch together.

Compulsory registration by filling out the form:

This is the first “face-to-face” appointment of the project, which until now has worked online and in the various partner countries to collect, through interviews and surveys, information relating to the realities that deal with disabilities, mental health and frailty and what are the experiences and people’s perception of sport and inclusion.
